CBL Tree Service is an ISA-certified tree removal company serving Peterborough and the Kawarthas in Ontario since 2014, with more than 260 Google reviews. We started running its Facebook and Instagram ads in March 2026. These are the numbers from the ad account, with the dates attached. Money is in Canadian dollars.

From March 2026 to November 5, 2026, CBL's Facebook and Instagram ads brought in 287 leads, about 36 a month. A lead is a homeowner who filled in the quote form with their name, phone number and the work they need, counted once.
The main campaign, covering the whole service area, brought in 192 leads. A second campaign aimed only at Lakefield and the area around it brought in 95, a third of the total.
Why the Lakefield campaign earned its place
Town-by-town campaigns usually cost more per lead than one broad campaign: across the tree accounts we run, ads aimed at a single town got about 18% fewer leads per dollar (our Facebook ad study). Lakefield was the exception. That's why we test a town on a small budget first and only keep it when the numbers prove it.
The ads that worked
The same ideas that work on our other tree accounts worked here. "Wanna See Something Cool?", a short clip of a big removal with that line as the hook, brought in 19 leads. "The Classic Selfie", the owner talking straight to camera, brought in 10, and "Rain OR Shine", the crew working in bad weather, 9.
One of the first ads, a generic lead ad, lagged behind the rest and was switched off. New ads go in every month, filmed on CBL's real jobs, so the account never leans on one tired ad. We also built CBL a concept website led by drone video of real removals.
